At 59: He's still got it!

Tom Watson(left), Tiger Woods(right)

59...well it must be the new 20 the way Tom Watson is playing in the 138th Open Championship held in Turnberry, Scotland. Just shy of the big 60, Tom Watson a player who has won this major title 5 other times in his huge career as a professional golfer, the only player to actually win a PGA British Open, and Senior British Open at the same venue, has still got the goods to go out and show up the 20-somethings on the tour now. After going out yesterday on a day that was what the Scottish call "grand" and shooting a bogey free 65, and then to follow it up with an even par round of 70 has bested even the number one player in the world Tiger Woods, who missed the cut for only the second time in a major.

Watson and Woods finished their rounds on two different notes. Watson finished his round making a 40ft birdie putt on the 18th green to get himself into the last group for tomorrows round 3, while Woods missed a 30ft birdie chip to even give himself a chance to make the weekend, woods would go on to make par and miss the cut by 1 shot. "It's as if the spirits are on my side," said Watson. For Woods, not so much "Kept making mistake after mistake," said Woods.

With Woods most likely on the G5 heading back to his lovely home on Jupiter Island, you can bet that he is frustrated to say the least. Watson now has a chance to become the oldest person to win a Major, and to tie the record of 6 Open titles held by Harry Vardon.

Even though I'm a huge Tiger Woods fan......GO TOM!!!!!!

Humans:The Earths Cancer

After the G8 meetings that were held just over a week ago, there is still little that was resolved that had to do with the state of the planet. The lovely planet that we live on, the one that provides us with everything we need to stay alive, we haven't figured out a way to protect it, as it has protected us for so long.

While discussing these problems with a few of my friends, and talking about the "global warming" and "2012" pending disasters. I have come to the conclusion that no matter what happeneds to the planet, it was our fault. Take a look at the world now as it is, and look back into our past, i mean way back during the first settlers. Look at the difference in landscape, overall appeal of this once thriving world. I honestly think if i was from another planet looking in, i would pass and try finding another planet to live on.

The Human race has become a cancer to this planet we call our own now, the truth is: there are more people living on this planet now, than have ever died. Over population has become a new epidemic and a serious problem for many countries, and governments think to solve the problem is to destroy more rainforest's to build more homes. Anything that is on this planet had been claimed by someone, and they have either somehow destroyed it, or plan on doing so. By putting up new homes, luxury hotels, or theme parks, or resorts. Just like cancer we have spread throughout earth and have taken over, and its our nature. For some reason, when we see something newly discovered we feel we have to exploit it, and essentially destroy its beauty.

In the final moments, we will be the reason for the end. We have taken something that was so pure and so rich with life, and we threw it away.

WWIII-North Korea

Well it has been a while since i last blogged. But this one topic got my brain turning, and i have been thinking about it for a while, but not really reading to much into it. you know kind of like when your on the highway and you see someone pulled over and they have their hood open and looking inside, sure you care enough to look, but not enough to stop and ask if they need help. This is one of those things, i cared enough to read the headlines, but not enough to read the articles. That was until i came upon this new headline, which made me stop in my tracks.

"North Korea says " we will wipe the united states off the map".

After seeing that as a headline and pausing for a second i couldn't help but click on the link that led to the article. And after reading the one article i could help but read the past few that have mentioned North Korea threatening the U.S. and other neighboring countries. It seems that N. Korea is mad at the U.S. because it is in talks with S. Korea about sanctions with the United Nations on putting a hold or pause on the nuclear activity that N. Korea is clearly working on. With the recent news of N. Korea test firing short, and long range missile's, this had got all countries around the world look to the UN for some explanations. And so far the UN has said nothing, almost like they are keeping out of it, or maybe they are keeping their fingers crossed that it will just play itself out. The N.Korean ruler Kim Jong-il, is nothing short of crazy. This man has declared so many wars on so many countries, and then done nothing. This is the same man that wanted to bring the moon closer to earth with rockets that pull it towards us. Nobody has really seen him in person in a while, and there was some speculation about a photo released last year by their dept. of defense that looked like he was photo shopped into. Either way he has threatened many times and said that if the U.S. sits outside Korea with its military ships that he will take it as a sign of war.

My Thoughts: This guy is clearly crazy and has some screws loose, so how about we don't mess with him. I really don't think he has a problem with not only blowing other countries up with nukes, but I'm sure he doesn't care about blowing himself up. N.Korea has stated many times that they are able and willing to go to war with the U.S. and with this latest quotes from the military threatening to wipe our county off the map is again a sign that he either needs to be taken out of power by a secret force, or by his own people. If we keep on taunting a man like that, we are going to end up with another Adolf Hitler. That certainly is the last thing that we need right now.
